This is for the first time a Malayalam movie is getting permission to shoot the actual practice sessions of the Indian Army. The movie will be completed in a single schedule of 35 days in the original locales.
Mohanlal will appear as Colonel Mahadevan, who is all determined to get back the land grabbed by Pakistani soldiers in the Kargil valley. Kannada star Taniya Singh is the heroine. Kurukshetra, produced by Damor Films with a budget of seven crores, is Major Ravi's third venture after the immensely successful Keerthi Chakra and critically acclaimed Mission 90 Days.
