Navneet Kaur:Second time Lucky

The voluptuous Punjabi Navneet Kaur (also spelt as Navaneet Kaur and Navneeth Kaur), had planned her Malayalam debut with Mammootty starrer Parunthu, a comedy thriller which was released a few months ago, but her plan went awry when she was replaced by Lakshmi Rai. In fact, news of Navneet Kaur's forthcoming entry into Malayalam was much-celebrated by the media because she was selected as heroine in place of South India's costliest actress Nayantara.

Now, this Punjabi kuddi has bagged a second chance to realize her unfulfilled dream! Navneet Kaur is venturing into Malayalam with the upcoming Love In Singapore opposite National award winner Mammootty. Navneet was taken at the last minute when Keerthy Kunhal (the heroine originally planned) could not report for the first schedule.

Navneet will essay the role of Diana, a girl born and brought up in Singapore. Produced by MHM films, director Rafi Mecartin's Love In Singapore will present Mammootty as 'Aakry Machu', a man who cruised to financial heights after starting his life as a scrap dealer. The movie is expected to grace theatres by 18th February, 2009.

Navneet Kaur, who has been in the industry for quite some time without tasting much success, began her rollercoaster career in Kannada with Darshan. Then she debuted in Telugu with Seenu, Vasanthi and Lakshmi. Chetna, Jagapathi, Bhuma and Good Boy are some of her other movies. Navneet Kaur has done a few roles in Tamil as well and became very famous with her TV commercials and music albums. She is now trying to break into Bollywood as well.
