Now, it is heard that the director of last year"s Big B featuring Mammootty in the lead role, is planning to make a sequel to Irupatham Noottandu. Mammootty, after the success of Big B, is heard to have given an open call sheet to director Amal Neerad for his new film but the director seems to have opted for Mohanlal in his next venture. The film, scripted by S.N. Swami, will be a high voltage action thriller based on the character of Mohanlal in Irupatham Noottandu.
It was rumoured that director Shaji Kailas is interested in making a sequel to Irupatham Noottandu with the title Ee Irupathi Onnam Noottandu. But the project was dropped since his last venture with Mohanlal, Alibhai, bombed at the box office.
The sequel will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad films.
