Manoj K Jayan strikes back with Chilambattam
Manoj K. Jayan, ex-husband of actress Urvasi, is well-known for his villainous roles in South Indian films. His first appearance on screen was in 1988 for the Malayalam tele-serial 'Kumilakal'. Then he debuted into films with Maamalakkapurathu, followed by Perunthachan and Sargam, for which he won the Kerala State Film Award (best actor) in 1992. He has acted in more than 70 movies so far.

Lying low for almost a decade, Manoj K. Jayan bounced back into an exciting career in Mollywood and Tollywood with his scintillating performance as the wily, ruthless tantric Digambaran in director Santosh Sivan's Ananthabhadram (2005), which earned him praise and accolades along with the best actor award from the Film Critics Association of Kerala. Today, he is acting in most of the Southern languages.
