Lakshmi Rai with Mammootty

Lakshmi Rai plays the female lead in Anwar Rasheed's new action comedy, Annan Thambi. Mammootty plays the role of twin brothers Appu and Achu who are separated from each other by their father.

Laskhmi Rai, named Thenmozhi in the film, plays the lady love of Appu. The model-turned-actress made her entry into films with the Tamil film, Karka Kasa Dara, and later appeared in Kundaka Mandaka opposite Parthiban. She made her foray into Malayalam with the Mohanlal starrer, Rock 'n' Roll, which failed to rock at the box office. Hope Annan Thambi does some good for the young actress, who also has a few Tamil films in her kitty.
