Lakshmi enters Bollywood

Trilingual actress Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is making her entry in Hindi films with Dhuan being directed by Mrinalini Patil. She is playing the role of a journalist in the film starring Amitabh Dayal, Padmini Kolhapuri, Rati Agnihotri and Raj Babbar.

Lakshmi has acted in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. She made her debut in Malayalam films with Aryannanugalude Veedu which bagged her the Kerala State award for best supporting actress. She later appeared in several Malayalam films, including Kochu Kochu Santoshangal, Symphony, Keerthi Chakra, Simhasanam, Smart City, Paradesi and Thaniye. She has recently been selected for the Atlas Film Critics' Award for best actress for her superb performances in the films Paradesi, and Thaniye. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
