After Currency, young actor Jayasurya has signed in a number of new projects. The important one in the list is Doctor-Patient, directed by Viswanathan, which will feature Jayasurya in the role of a psychiatrist for the first time in his career.

In Doctor-Patient, he plays a different funny psychiatrist named Dr. Ruben Isaac; Mukesh will be his patient. A newcomer will be the heroine.

Others in the cast include Jagathy Sreekumar, Sooraj Venjaranmoodu and Nedumudi Venu. The script is also handled by the director himself. The film is produced by Nandigram Ram Prasad under the banner of A.R. International.

In the unnamed second film to be directed by Dileep Deepesh, Jayasurya appears as a postman. Camera is handled by Azhakappan, lyrics by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma and music by Ilayaraja.

Jayasurya is currently busy acting for his upcoming venture Currency, directed by debutante Swathi Bhaskar, which will have him with short hair and dark complexion instead of the usual getup of a handsome guy. In this film, Jayasurya plays the role of a plain-looking person named Keshu working in a photostat shop. Kalabhavan Mani, Mukesh and Meera Nandan are the other important characters in this movie.
