Viji Thampi accounces Suspense

Viji Thampi, who had earlier announced his film, Star Singer, with Suresh Gopi in the lead, is now ready with his next film. The new film, titled Suspense, will have Rahman and Bala playing the lead roles. Sasikumar Nattakom produces the movie which also stars Jagathy Sreekumar, Cochin Haneefa, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Manikuttan, Arun, Anoop Chandran and Siddque.

Bijoy cranks the camera and Shaan helms the music. Reportedly, Suspense is slated to begin production in January. Will the director begin shooting for Star Singer before Suspense is not yet known.

Rahman was last seen in Mohanlal starrer, Rock 'n" Roll.

Sreenivasan and Dilip pair for Passenger

Veteran actor-director Sreenivasan and comedian-turned-hero Dilip will handle the key roles in the upcoming Passenger directed by debutant Ranjit Sankar. Initial reports said that the film will be a family entertainer with a focus on humour.

The film is produced by S.P. Pillai under the banner of Vijaya Combines. Music director Bijibal, who shot to fame in 2007 through his compositions in Arabikatha directed by Lal Jose, will set music to lyrics written by Anil Panachooran.

Indrans' dons a hero role

For the first time in his career spanning more than 20 years in Malayalam cinema, comedy actor Indrans will don the lead role in Sudharil Sudhan, to be directed by debutant Jayaraj Vijay. Indrans will portray the role of an ardent political worker, Ramankutty, who fails to fulfil some serious responsibilities. The film deals with Ramankutty's struggles in the party, when it takes severe actions against him as part of its face-saving process.
