Romeo slated for December 21

Dileep-starrer Romeo will hit the theatres on December 21. Shot in Ottapalam and Shonur, Romeo, directed by Rajasenan, produced by Rafi-Mecartin, is scripted by Rafi-Mecartin and casts Cochin Haneefa, Bheeman Reghu, Riza Bava and Ashokan. Alex Paul helms the music and K.P. Nambiathiri cranks the camera. Vimala and Samvrutha Sunil play the female leads.

Romeo will have to compete with Prithviraj starrer Kangaroo, which also hits theatres this Christmas.

Parunthu - Review

Director M. Padmakumar's latest film Parunthu opens with the mass suicide of a family due to the harsh dealings of Parunthu Purushottaman (Mammootty), a 'blade' mafia chief having a particular affinity towards money, operating in Kozhikode city. But Purushu's heart is least moved by the mass suicide; he does not believe in any form of relationships since his mother abandoned him at a young age, leaving him to grow up as the right-hand man of a moneylender, Kunjikka (Mamookoya).

Parunthu begins dubbing work

The dubbing of Mammootty's upcoming movie Parunthu, directed by M. Padma Kumar, has begun in Ernakulam. Re-recording will begin on July 26 and the first copy of the movie should be ready by July 5. After the big hit Annan Thampi, Parunthu is going to be another action film laced with comedy.

The film, scripted by TA Razak, tells the story of Gillette Purushothaman, a crude money lender with an iron heart who recovers his money by any means from his borrowers......

Karthika Thirunal: Not so for Mohanlal

The buzz is that Mohanlal has decided against the T.S. Suresh Babu-directed Karthika Thirunaal Karthikeyan. It was first slated to start shooting in April.

Mohanlal has told the director of hits like Kottayam Kunjachchan and Kizhakkan Pathrose as well as a number of flops, to cool his heels for some time as he's unhappy with the given script and subject.

Three heroines, Padmapriya, Parvathy Melton and Namitha, were planned in the movie. O.N.V. Kurup, Sreekumaran Thampy, Shibu Chakravarthy and Chunakkara Ramankutty.....

Dileep in jolly mood

Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Dileep, who is eagerly waiting for the release of his films Calcutta News and Romeo, has now signed a new comedy film, Kunttanadan Express. Udaya Krishnan and Sibi K. Thomas pen the script for the film to be directed by Thulasidas and produced by Sasidharan under the banner of Ullattil Films.
