Edegarike Movie Review
D Sumana Kittur's Edegarike is an attempt to show the lives of underworld dons. As she said in interviews, the director has made an action flick without glorifying violence and brought out the best from her leading stars.

Edegarike is based on the book from the same name written by journalist and writer Agni Shreedhar. The story is not something new and we have seen similar kind of stories every now and then. But the characters in the movie make audience to watch the film, as they look realistic and not filmy.

The film tells the story of serial killer Sona (Aditya), who is working under Dubai don Bhai. The former is a sharp shooter and Thukaram Shetty (Achyuth Kumar) is his instructor. He falls in love with Rashmi (Akansha) and as expected, he wants to quit the underworld to lead a peaceful life with his girlfriend.

Now, his boss is unhappy with Sona and gives contract to Muthappa Rai (Dharma) to kill Sona. Rai assigns this job to Sreedhar (Atul Kulkarni). However, Sreedhar and Sona are in good terms and and they discuss their past lives. But the former has no option than getting rid of Sona. Will he kill him? Watch the movie to know the entire story.

The story of the film is interesting and gives an insight to the lives of many people, who were involved in underworld activities. Sumana Kittur's narration is brilliant and she puts her sincere effort to bring realistic appeal through her characters. However, the film is boring at parts. Unlike Aadinagalu, the screenplay loses its grip at parts.

Aditya, like in Deadly Soma, has done an excellent job. He gives life to the character of Sona. Atul Kulkarni justifies his role with ease and Akansha's acting is good. Others like Achyuth Kumar, Srujan Lokesh, Dharma, Sharat Lohitashva, Guru Dutt, and others have done a clean job.

Sadhu Kokila's background score is amazing and the track is also brilliant. Rest other departments are okay.

Verdict: Edegarike entertains all sections of audience.
