The movie Yogi is a simple love story with lack of newness in script. It follows the footsteps of the movies like Patre Loves Padma and Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melide. The movie deals with Yogi"s search for his childhood girlfriend Mala. Even though it has predictable storyline, director Udayaprakash, has managed to win the hearts of audiences through his narration.
Yogi is a supplier in Naidu Hotel, which is his part time work. His full time work is to search his childhood girlfriend Mala. While doing so, he unknowingly enters the underworld and wins the heart of everyone there with his bold straight-forward behavior. But he is cheated and forced to kill his own boss. What happens next should be watched by Appu fans.
Yogish"s performance is the first highlight of the movie Yogi. He surely rocks the audience in his different get ups. His dialogue delivery is also wonderful. As don, Suchayeendra Prasad's dialogue delivery is excellent. His special performance seems to have posed tough competition to Yogish.
Biyanka Desai has played a false lover of Yogi and Shirin has appeared as lady don, while Rekha has also sizzled in a song. All three of them do not have much scope in the movie Yogi. Nenasam Praveen and other artistes have also done justice to their role.
Emile"s music is another highlight of the movie. It seems that Yogi and Emile have taken the whole responsibility of the movie. One can smell a little fresh air in K Nanjunda"s dialogues and Dasari Shrinivas" camera work.
Although the movie Yogi has age old commercial ingredients, Yogish"s performance, Emile"s music and its rich presentation definitely make it a good entertainer. The movie can be watched once and enjoyed.
