Love Guru – Review

Debut director Prashanth Raj, who has worked as an assistant director for Hindi film Raaz, has finally delivered his first venture in Kannada. His movie Love Guru is a simple and super cool family entertainer. Although he has chosen the stale love as its subject, he has handled it in totally different and a brand new way, which makes the movie more interesting.

The highlights of the movie are Tarun and Radhika Pandit"s super cool performance, Prashanth"s interesting script and its presentation. Arasu fame Joshua Shridhar"s music is another hero of the movie. Naveen"s dialogues and Gnanamurthy"s camera work also contribute to some extent in making Love Guru interesting.

Love Guru is not a lesson of love. The lovers in the movie do not have father, mother, friend or anyone to support their love. Hero and heroine fail to understand each other. They are derailed while expressing their love. Love Guru gives a clear cut message to youths those who surrender themselves to suicide after they fail to get their love. It says there are many ways for a person, when he or she loses his or her way.

Pratham (Tarun) and Kushi (Radhika Pandit) join a software company on the same day. Attracted by Kushi"s character, Pratham falls in love, but he fails to make it clear to her. At the same time, Khushi also develops love for him. But her misunderstanding about Tarun-Priya relationship leads her to marry her boss. What happens next will from the rest of the story.

The first credit for making the movie interesting goes to director Prashanth Raj, who has penned the story and screenplay. He has weaved a tight and interesting script. He breathes freshness in an unusual story and wins the heart of the audiences with the appealing presentation.

Tarun and Radhika Pandit"s performance is really wonderful. Yajna Shetty and Dileep Raj have also tried to prove their mettle in the movie. Sharan"s comedy fails to impress audience. Jai Jagadish, Shrinivasmurthy, Ramesh Bhat, Chitra Shenoy have also leaved up to their roles.

Music director Joshua Shridhar has scored melodious music for the lyrics of Suresh Aras. The audio of the movie has already proved as hit. Songs like 'Yaaru Kooda Ninna Haage…", 'Tangali Tandeya…" and 'Minchi Hoyutu…" continue to haunt the audiences even after they are out of the theatre.

Gnanamurthy"s camera work is a feasting for the eyes of audience. The choice of locations and costumes of the artists have been handled with care. Naveen"s dialogues are crispy.

Overall it can be said that Love Guru is a quiet interesting movie. It"s really worth spending money for the movie. Don"t miss the movie.
