The much hyped movie Eddelu Manjunatha, which started shooting in November 2007, has finally hit the screens after facing lots of hurdles. The movie is the second directional venture for Guruprasad after the movie Mata, which has got the best supporting actor award for actor Jaggesh. Now the director has intended to get the best actor award to him through this movie.

The director has got good grip over the script. His original way of narration impresses the audience. Except few mistakes here and there, he has done a wonderful job in the movie. His selection of the story is also good. He has chosen an apt title for the movie. Eddelu means wake up and Manjunatha is the name of the hero. It is a wake up call for the lazy hero.

Jaggesh's performance is the main highlight of movie Eddelu Manjunatha. He has given life time acting. Nobody can deliver this kind of performance accept Jaggesh. Guruprasad's dialogues have boosted his acting even more. The dual meaning in the dialogues will make the audience tighten their belts. Anoop Sileen's music is another highlight of the movie.

The film Eddelu Manjunatha is a hilarious slapstick comedy, which revolves around the story of an intelligent, but lazy guy. Whole movie has been shot in a ten by ten house. It shows how drinking and laziness of a man will spoil his family.

Actress has also performed well as the wife of a drunkard. V Manohar, K Shyam Sundar and other actors have also done justice to their roles. Anoop Sileen's music rocks the audiences. Especially three songs - 'Arthi ettire nama Kalla Manjage...', 'Ee Jagave Devaru Srastisida Baru...' and 'Manege Obba Manjunatha' will impress the audiences.
