Upendra fans have reason to cheer, for in his new film Budhdhivantha, he appears in not one, but four different get ups and costumes. Interestingly, he has five heroines in happy dalliance keeping him company!

The storyline has been taken from the Tamil movie Naan Avanallai, which was released about 22 years ago by K. Balachander starring Gemini Ganesan in the lead role. It was remade recently featuring Jeeva, Sneha, Namitha, Malavika and others.

"Upendra sir's different get ups and the interesting twists and turns that the script takes in the course of the film is the highlight of the film," said Rigvedhi. Upendra, who started his career as a writer and assistant director, has done a wonderful job making use of his different disguises in the movie. He also gave some valuable suggestions in the script during the shooting of the film.

The film has six songs beautifully picturised in different locales in China and India. Upendra's heroines in the film include Pooja Gandhi, Nethanya, Brunda and Saloni. The choreography of the film is excellently done.

It is scheduled for release next week.
