Even after Pooja Gandhi confirming that her role in Abhinetri is not based on Kannada yesteryear actress Kalpana, rumours are still doing rounds that the movie is based on Kalpana's life. To add more to this the climax shooting of Abhinetri was recently canned, where Kalpana was found dead.
It is reported that the makers of Abhinetri has shot the climax of the movie in the very house, where Kalpana committed suicide after swallowing sleeping pills and diamond. In 1979, the actress was found dead in the house, which is near Gotur Village in Belgaum district. Now, the shooting of Abhinetri was shot in the same place.
However, Pooja Gandhi, who again denies of she essaying actress Kalpana's role said, "We did shoot in Gotur, but just because we chose to shoot at that house doesn't mean I am playing Kalpana on the big screen."
Recently, Pooja Gandhi was in the limelight with the release of intimate photos of hers and Abhinetri's co-star Atul Kulkarni. The comeback movie of Pooja is directed by Satish Pradan, which also features Markrand Deshpande and Neetu in the significant roles. Beside playing the title role, Pooja is also producing the film along with BS Vyjayanthi.
