Critically acclaimed filmmaker Pawan Kumar, who caught the attention of the International audience with his psychological thriller Lucia is happy for recent Malayalam hit Drishyam getting remade in Kannada. The director, who believes that content is a king in the movies is eagerly waiting to catch up the Kannada remake of Drishyam.
Pawan Kumar, who recently watched Drishyam was blown away by the movie. Kannada version of the movie, which is tentatively named as Drishya, has Crazy Star Ravichandran and Navya Nair in the lead roles. The original film had Mohanlal and Meena in the key roles, which turned out to be the biggest Blockbuster in the history of Malayalam film industry by creating many records.
"Watched Drishyam last evening. Blown away. I am so glad its getting remade in Kannada... ya I know its strange to hear that from me. But this movie totally deserves it. These guys are brilliant... I had heard such great things about it but when I started watching it, I was not impressed with the way it started... was wondering why people were appreciating the film n then it hits you n after that you are glued to your seat n its a 2 hrs 43 mins movie... you don't feel the length," posted Pawan, who is also expecting the movie to recreate the same magic in Kannada too.
