It's well known that the Bollywood hit Oh My God will be made in Kannada. The latest buzz from Gandhinagar says that the Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep has been roped in for the film to play the Akshya Kumar's role in Kannada version. The movie, which was released in 2012 deals with the story of an atheist, who questions the existence of God in this world. It was a satirical comedy drama.
It is reported that Oh My God, which was made with the budget of Rs 16 crore grossed Rs 105 crores in the Box Office collection. It was the remake of Australian movie The Man Who Sued God. Oh My God had Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Charavarthy in the lead roles.
Yogesh Dwarkish, who owns the Kannada remake rights of the movie has confirmed that Sudeep will be playing Akshay Kumar's role, whereas Paresh Rawal's role is likely to be played by Ranghayana Raghu or Ravishankar. He also said that the movie will be directed by P Kumar, who had made Only Vishnuvardhana starring Sudeep in 2011.
Speaking to leading daily, Yogesh said, "Many Kannada movie makers were trying to purchase the remake rights of Oh My God, but finally I was successful in getting it."Continue reading the story on slides...
Second Combination Of P Kumar And Sudeep
Movie will be second combination of Sudeep and director P Kumar. The duo had worked in Only Vishnuvardhana, which was produced by Yogesh's father Dwarkish.

"I was mainly inspired by Oh My God's script. It is more apt to the present day situation," Yogesh added.
Yogesh Is Back After Two Years
Yogesh, who was the manager of Sudeep, is donning producer's hat after two years. He was also co-producer of Only Vishnuvardhana.
Nidhi Subbaiah To Play TV Anchor Role
Coorg beauty Nidhi Subbaiah had played the TV anchor role in Oh My God. It is said that she is likely to play the same role in Kannada version too.
P Kumar Is Busy With Smt Jayalaithaa
Meanwhile, director P Kumar is busy with Smt Jayalalithaa, which is the remake of Malayalam hit Mayamohini. He has given his dates in January.
Sudeep Is Busy With Manikya
Actor Sudeep is also busy with the shooting of Manikya, which is the remake of Telugu movie Mirchi. Sudeep is directing the movie and sharing screen space with Ravichandran.
