6-5=2 (Six Minus Five Equals Two): Complaint Filed Against The Makers

The makers of Sandalwood's recent release 6-5=2 (Six Minus Five Equals Two) is again in the limelight. This time the makers are in the news for wrong reason as the Chennai based cameraman has filed a complaint on the director and producer of the movie for not giving him the credits.

K Magesh, who has worked in several Tamil films, has claimed that he is the original cameraman of 6-5=2. He alleged that the makers has not given him the due credits, and also cheated him of his remuneration.

Speaking to Bangalore Mirror (BM), Magesh said, "I have been cheated by the filmmakers. They contacted me in December 2012 about the film. I shot the movie for 15 days in Madikeri in January this year. The idea for the film came from Hollywood 'found footage' films. It was a huge challenge and I proposed shooting only with natural light and using small artificial lights, which will not be evident. The director KS Ashok took advantage of me, learnt all the tricks and then dumped me. My remuneration was fixed at Rs 1.5 lakh. Payment of Rs 95,000 is still pending."

Complaint Reached To KFCC

Magesh has filed the private complaint in South Cinematographers Association, Chennai, which has now reached Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC).

Magesh Likely To Go To Court

Magesh revealed that he will have to go to court if the issue is not solved in KFCC.

Fictional Dead Man Name Was Used For Publicity

Magesh said, "A fictional dead man's name was used for publicity. I do not mind if it benefits the film. But I am more concerned that they cheated me of my payment."

It Was Promoted As Footage Found

Magesh claimed that though the movie was shot later, it was promoted as the footage found from the camera of six trekkers, who were presumed to be death.

6-5=2 Was Made With The Budget Of Rs 20 Lakhs

It is reported that 6-5=2 was made with the budget of Rs 20 lakhs, the film is said to have garnered Rs 2 crore in Box Office collection.

Director Ashok Has Not Received Any Intimation

Answering to Magesh's allegations, director Ashok said, "It is an internal problem that had to be sorted out. I have not received any intimation from any Karnataka film body about the complaint till now."

People Believed The Movie To Be True

Many people, who watched the film has believed that they have seen the real footage, which was shot on Late Ramesh's camera.
