Actress-turned-politician Pooja Gandhi, who contested in Karnataka Assembly election earlier this year, has garnered rave reviews from film critics for her bold performance in controversial Kannada movie Dandupalya. She is now making her comeback with a female-centric film Abhinetri. Besides playing the title role in the movie, she is also producing this flick along with BS Vyjayanthi.
Pooja Gandhi has recently done a grand photo shoot for the movie Abhinetri with some ace photographers from the Sandalwood. The muhurtha of the film will be held at Kantirava Stadium at 9.30 am on September 30. BSR Congress leader Sri Ramulu will clap the board, while Crazy Star Ravichandra switches on the camera. Real Star Upendra will direct the first shot of the movie.
The actress has already sent out a unique invitation card to the media. Her invitation features some of her best pictures taken from her recent photo shoot. The photos show that Abhinetri will be a woman-oriented film based on the life of an actress in 1980s. If we are to go by Pooja's retro style make-up in the pictures, the movie is inspired by the life of late actresses, Kalpana or Manjula. The film will recreate the era of 1980s in Kannada film industry.
We bring you the scanned pictures of Pooja Gandhi in Abhinetri published on the invitation card. Continue to see them in the slideshow.
