Telugu actor and the son of superstar Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya seems to have found a new interest in Kannada films. The actor was seen a few months ago in Bangalore to watch superhit Kannada movie Charminar starring Prem Kumar. Director R Chandru had screened the movie in the Garden City and it was said that the actor would star in the Telugu remake. Reports had claimed that Chandru would be helming the Tollywood version too. But nothing much happened there after.
Now, Naga Chaitanya has seen yet another Kannada movie. Well, it is none other than hit movie Googly. According to sources, the Telugu star has seen the movie and he is impressed by the storyline. He has been looking out for good scripts and he is desperate for the success, say reports. When he heard about the Yash's recent release, he expressed his wish to watch the movie. A special screening was arranged for him and he felt that Googly would suit his image.
Naga Chaitanya has given his verbal consent to act and wants to remake it in Telugu. Reports say that Pawan Wadeyar has been offered to direct the remake of Googly. But nothing has been finalised and things are in the early stages. Continue reading the story on the slideshow...
It has to be noted that Pawan Wadeyar is making his debut in Telugu films with his sleeperhit Govindaaya Namaha remake. The Telugu version titled Potugadu stars Manchu Manoj, Sakshi Chowdhary, Simran Kaur Mundi and Nathalia Kaur.

The underling part of Googly is that the film has been released in the US. Very rarely we see a Kannada movie releasing outside the country. Last week, there were four screenings in California.
