Nagashekar, who entered film industry as a comedy actor, turned director in Ganesh's Aaramane. But he tasted a huge success in Sanju Weds Geetha. Now, he is back with his latest flick Mynaa, which is releasing tomorrow.
For the latest film, Nagashekar has chosen a realistic subject that he heard from a senior cop some years ago. He has roped in Chethan Kumar, Nithya Menon and Tamil star Sarath Kumar, who was last seen in Darshan's Sarathi, to play the important roles.
The interesting part of the film is that the movie will be made in other languages too, and Studio Green, the home production of Tamil superstar Surya, has come forward to buy the movie. However, as part of the movie promotion, director-turned-actor Nagashekar talked about Mynaa to Oneindia. Here are the excerpts from the interview...
Tell us about the movie...
Mynaa is based on a real-life incident. Ex-cop BB Ashok Kumar, the man who had detected more than 100 murder cases, narrated me a murder mystery that became the subject of my story. Technically, the film is rich and the same crew of Sanju Weds Geetha has worked for this film too.
On working with Tamil star Sarath Kumar...
Sarath Kumar will be seen in the role of police officer Ashok Kumar. It was a great experience to work with him. He is thorough professional and committed actor. Continue reading on the slideshow...

These are the times of shooting songs abroad. Have you shot any tracks in foreign locales?
No, we have shot the movie in India itself. There are many undiscovered beautiful locations in Karnataka. Hence, we did not find it necessary to go abroad. Songs have been filmed in Karnataka, Chennai and Goa. One of the songs has been filmed at Dudhsagar Falls, Goa border.
