Geetha Shivaraj Kumar aka Geethakka has rubbished rumours of her entering politics. She is the eldest daugher-in-law of Karnataka's Cultural icon Dr Rajkumar and daughter of former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sarekoppa Bangarappa.
It was recently reported that the Karnataka Janata Dala Secular (JDS) party has decided to rope in Geetha, to make her to contest in the upcoming election from Shimoga, which was her father's constituency.
Talking to Bangalore Mirror, Geetha Shivaraj Kumar said, "Well, like everyone else, I too have heard about me entering politics through the media. My only involvement with politics was through my dad and brothers. But personally I have never even given it a thought."
Geetha also confirms that even in the future, she will not even think of entering into politics and expects all the rumour mills to stop grinding. It was also reported that JDS senior leaders have asked Madhu Bangarappa to convince Shivanna to make his wife Geetha enter politics.
Geetha Shivaraj Kumar was expected to contest from Shimoga constituency, which was once represented by her father Bangarappa. Her elder brother, Kumar Bangarappa (Vasanth Kumar) is also an actor and active in politics from two decades.

It was being said that people of Shimoga are still having a soft corner towards Bangarappa, which JDS is thinking to en-cash in the upcoming election.

Though his counterparts in the neighbouring states - MG Ramachandran and NT Ramarao became Chief Ministers, Dr Rajkumar kept a safe distance from all the political parties in the state.
They Never Enter Politics
Earlier, Rajkumar fans claimed that Annavru kept a safe distance from politics, and the same is maintained by his sons - Shivraj Kumar, Puneet Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar. So, Geethakka entering politics is out of question.
