Bharath Stores To Be Screened In IFFI

Bharath Stores, which won the National Award for the Best Feature film in Kannada at 60th National Film Awards, will be screened in International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The festival is scheduled to be held in Goa, in November.

Bharath Stores directed by P Sheshadri mainly highlights the adverse effect of globalisation on the petty shop owners. It also shows the mall cultures, which is directly affecting the family profession of India.

Bharath Stores To Be Screened In IFFI

Veteran actor HG Dattatreya aka Dattanna, who played the role of Govinda Shetty (a petty shop owner), won the Best Actor Award at Fiji International Film Festival, which was held in September.

Apart from Bharath Stores, the list of the movies that is nominated for screening include Baaga Beach, The Coffee Maker, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Ship Of Thesus, Pan Singh Tomar and other 25 movies.

It is said that the director Sheshadri was impressed with the Central government's decision of allowing the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). He had cleared, "Bharath Stores traces the life of a petty shop owner. It only highlights the pros and cons of FDI, without passing any judgment."

Apart from Dattatreya, the movie also features Sudharani, V Manohar, Gurudatt in pivotal roles. Bharath Stores was produced by Basanth Kumar Patil, and has the music scored by V Manohar.
