Actress Shruthi and journalist Chandrachuda Chakravarthi, whose marriage is in trouble after the first wife of Chandrachuda approached court seeking her husband's second marriage to be declared null and void, failed to turn up before the court on July 6.
Manjula, the first wife of Chandrachuda Chakravarthi, filed for injunction restraining Chandrachud and Shruthi from living together as husband and wife. The family court has served a fresh notice to them asking them to appear before the court on July 20.

Shruthi Expressed Shock
Later, Shruthi too expressed her shock and claimed that her hubby has cheated her. However, the actress said that she would fight for Manjula and ensure that she gets justice. "Like me, she is also a woman and I understand her situation," she had told a leading TV channel.
Shruthi To Fight For Justice
The yesteryear actress, who was once a chairperson of the Karnataka State Women and Child Welfare Commission, said that she trusted Chandrachud too much. Now that the matter is in the court, she doesn't like to talk much about the issue.
Well, Shruthi's absence has now made people to question her credibility on her earlier stand on fighting to get justice to Manjula.
On the other end, actress Shruthi, who had married director S Mahender earlier, ended their 13-year-old marriage in 2011. The ex-couple parted ways on mutual consent due to irreconcilable differences. They had filed for the divorce in early 2009. The court granted the custody of their only child to Shruthi.
