Rajinikanth's secret visits to Bangalore!

Rajinikanth's connection with Karnataka is well-known as he was brought up in Bangalore. Before he decided to take up acting career, the superstar was working as a bus conductor in the Garden City. It is this factor that has made the people of Karnataka to be proud of the Tamil superstar, who celebrated his 62nd birthday on Wednesday (December 12), and shower love upon him.

Like Tamilians, Kannadigas too enjoy watching his films and celebrate the release of his films grandly in the state. And also, the superstar's fans club celebrated his birthday without fail in Bangalore.

Even today, Rajinikanth has not forgotten his past and often visits Bangalore without much hype. He secretly comes to the city to meet his friends and well-wishers and spend good time with them. There are many favourite places for him in Bangalore that bring back the memories of his past life and there are quite a few people with whom he loves to spend time once in a while.

However, he visits Bangalore in disguise. And without the knowledge of the media, he meets his friends at his flat near the Golf Course and also visits Raghavendra Mutt with them. Did you know that Rajinikanth visit historical temple Gavi Gangadhareshwara situated in Gavipuram during his visits? Somasundar, a friend of him, claims, "Whenever he comes to Bangalore, he visits the temple. Firstly, he goes to Ashwini Bar, Kalasipalyam to meet his friend and then comes to Gavi Gangadhareshwara. He will only visit after 12 PM, as he does not want to be spotted by anyone."

He adds, "We will roam in and around and sit at some corner. He loves peace and does not want to be disturbed when he is in temple." When asked about their friendship, he said ,"We are childhood friends and we share the same bonding even today. He might be a big star but when he comes here, he will be the same old Sivaji Rao Gaikwad, the original name of Rajini."

Rajinikanth's Gavipuram school is under renovation and there were reports that the superstar will be providing financial aid for the school. "We have requested Rajinikanth to provide help for the development for the school."

Rajinikanth is also fond of Vidyarthi Bhavan's Masala Dosa. The superstar has made it a point to eat in the hotel every time he comes to Bangalore. He also had claimed a few years ago that he had dosas in the hotel in disguise but the hotel management is clueless about his visits. A member from the hotel claims, "We feel proud when we heard that Rajinikanth has been visiting our hotel. But till date, we have not got opportunity to meet him."

When asked whether they have requested Rajini's friends to alert them during his next visit, he adds, "We have told their friends in Basavanagudi to tell us before Rajini comes to the city. But they have been telling that the superstar does not like to be noticed and wants privacy. Hence, it has not been possible to meet the iconic figure of India."
