Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is turning 70 today (October 11), shared a wonderful relationship with the regional film industries. Especially, he has been maintaining good friendship with notable actors of South films.

On the occasion of his 70th birthday, we are looking at some of his memorable moments with Kannada film stars. Amitabh Bachchan, fondly called as Big B by his fans, was a good friend of matinee idol late Dr Rajkumar.

Amitabh With Ramya And Dhyaan

Amitabh Bachchan made his Sandalwood debut in Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar's Amrithadhare in 2005. He had done a cameo in the movie, which starred Ramya and Dhyan. It was Dhyan, who convinced Big B to act in the Kannada movie with the help of his friend Subhasha K Jha.

Sudeep And Big B in Rann

Sudeep made his Bollywood debut in Ram Gopal Varma's Rann. He played the role of Amitabh Bachchan's son in the movie, which focused on Indian media.

Amitabh-Sudeep combo worked well even though critics gave thumbs down to the movie. Nonetheless, the movie was a commercial hit.

Arundhati Nag in Amitabh's Paa

Senior Kannada actress Arundhati Nag won the 'Best Supporting Actress' award at the 57th National Film Awards 2009-2010. This National recognition came to Kannada theatre artiste and the wife of late Shankar Nag for her wonderful performance in Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie Paa.

Ramya With Amitabh Bachchan

Ramya got an opportunity to meet Amitabh Bachchan again in July 2010. She met the Bollywood star on the sets of movie Kandahar, where Kannada actress Sumalatha, the wife of Ambareesh, acted in an important role.

Later, Ramya, who had worked with him in Amrithadhare, claimed that Amitabh Bachchan remembered their first meeting and blessed her.

Ragini Dwivedi With Amitabh

Glamorous Ragini Dwivedi played the role of Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in the Malayalam movie, Kandahar (It was on the set of this movie Ramya met Big B).

On her experience, Ragini Dwivedi had said that her dream of working with Amitabh Bachchan had come true with the Malayalam movie.

Puneet With Amitabh

Puneet Rajkumar met Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati. It was a formal visit to watch the Hindi program before hosting the Kannada version of KBC.

Puneet was accompanied by Anup Chandrashekhar, the Channel Head of Suvarna Channel and friend Prakruthi Banavasi.

Shivaraj Kumar had a memorable birthday this year, as he was blessed by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Well, the Hatrick Hero was made to cut a cake by Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The actor along with Amitabh shot an ad for a jewellery commercial in Mumbai where the Bollywood star arranged a special cake on the sets and made him to cut the cake on July 11. Later, Shivanna gifted him Dr Rajkumar: The Person Behind The Personality written by Power Star Puneet Rajkumar.
