Debutant actress Soundarya, who recently attended the muhurath of the Kannada movie Godfather held at Abbai Naidu studios in Chikkallasandra, is all excited about her first film project. She gushes that she is very lucky to get an opportunity to work with senior and experienced people like Upendra and producer K Manju in her first film, which is a remake of the hit Tamil movie Varalaaru.
Soundarya has got her acting training in Roshan Taneja's acting institute from Mumbai. She was first roped in to star in Puneet Rajkumar and Yogaraj Bhat's first combo movie Lagori. But the project was shelved over financial problem. Later, her name was heard for Yasho Sagar's Telugu film Mr Premikudu, but the production of the movie has been stalled after its muhurtha. Her name was also linked with several other projects including Chiranjeevi Sarja's Chiru.
Besides being trained in acting, Soundarya has all the quality to become Kannada's top heroine. She has right attitude, talent and physique. Moreover, her great lineage gives her an unparalleled advantage over her opponents. Now, it should be seen if Uppi's Godfather will be a right stepping stone for her and will provide her an essential break in the film industry.
