After watching Uppi directed movie Super, Rajinikath praised the hard work and talent for the success of the film. He said, "Upendra is a great actor and director. There is hardly anyone in Indian Cinema, who would think like him. Only he can think like that. His movie Super is totally a different and a new kind of movie. I would request him to continue to direct films." Talking about the producer, he said, "Rockline Venkatesh has invested lot of money and he is also talented producer. I wish them good luck."
Recently there were rumours that Rajinikath is returning to Kannada with a cameo in Jogayya. Talking about it, he said, "I'm desperate to act in a Kannada films. But I'm not getting a good script. I'm sure that I will make my comeback to Kannada if I really get a good story." Meanwhile, the South Indian star dismissed the reports that he is starring in Shivaraj Kumar's 100th film Jogayya. He said, "It's just a rumour and I'm not acting in the film."
However, after 10 years Upendra made his comeback to direction in the movie Super, which was released on 3rd December. Besides getting rave reviews from the critics, the movie has raked in more than Rs.25 crores at the Box Office. It has already completed 50 days at the collection centres and now running towards 100 days success. Meanwhile, producer Rockline Venkatesh is preparing o release its Telugu and Tamil versions.
