It seems that the trend of assaulting wives is getting higher in Kannada film industry. After Darshan, another Kannada actor Prasanth have been accused of beating up his wife Shashirekha.
Actor Prasanth of Orata I Love You fame is allegedly absconding after assaulting Shashirekha. Shashirekha also accused Prasanth for having an illicit relationship with another woman, with whom he was in a live-in relation. The accused had been slapped with a case of dowry harassment at the Halasuru Gate Women's Police Station last month. She also claimed that she received no help from the police.
Shashirekha claims that the cops at the Sanjaynagar police station refused to listen to her pleas and did not arrest Prasanth. On Monday, she dragged her husband from his girlfriend's home at Dollars Colony. She took him to the local Sanjaynagar Police Station, but daring Prasanth somehow managed to escape the scene.
On the other hand, shockingly the police authorities claim that the couple never even came to the station. Prasanth and Shashirekha have been married for eight years and have a five-year-old child.
