Two Kannada movies are set to release this weekend. Arya-Sanjjana starrer Ee Sanje will compete with Ajay Rao-Aindrita Ray's film Manasina Maathu at the Box Office. Ee Sanje will release in 25 theatres including five multiplexes, while Manasina Maathu will be screened in 45 centres.
Manasina Maathu has been directed by Anantha Raju and produced by Praveen. For the first time, Ajay Rao and Aindrita Ray have teamed up for this movie, which is remake of make a fine pair in Srikanth-Bhoomika starrer Tamil movie Roja Koottam. Andy says, "It has a simple and cute story."
Neel has composed music and MR Seenu has handled the camera for the film Manasina Maathu. Two songs have been shot in Kulu Manali and one song in Abbaiah Naidu studio. Avinash, Tara and Sadhu Kokil are playing other important roles.
Another long-awaited Kannada film Ee Sanje is finally ready for the release on January 28. The movie is a romantic story and is based on the real-life incident happened in 1992. It has been directed by Orata! I Love You fame Shree and produced by Balaji Singh and Manjunath. Sudeep's nephew Arya and actress Sanjjana are playing the lead roles in Ee Sanje.
Ee Sanje has five songs and Shiva has composed music for the songs. They have been shot in Rameshwaram near the Sri Lankan border, Madikeri, Chickmanglore, Bangalore Film City. Sanjjana says, "I play a dual character in the film. For the first time, Kannada audience will see me in a semi-traditional modern girl's role."
Both Ee Sanje and Manasina Maathu have been delayed for long time due to some unknown reason. Now, the question is whether they impress the audience and bring smiles on their producers faces with good collection at the Box Office.
