Kannada film industry has been often infatuated by non-Kannada actresses. Now, the latest babe to enter Kannada is Swathi Reddy, who has already rocked Telugu and Tamil audiences. She is playing the love interest of Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar in Prem Kahani and Taj Mahal fame R Chandru's upcoming Kannada movie Mylari. The shooting of the film is to commence from March this year.
Actress Swathi is very welknown for her movies like Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule in Telugu and Subramaniapuram in Tamil. Now, Mylari will be her first movie in Kannada. The bosses of the film are in talks with her. The adjustment of the dates is yet to be finalised. Presently, she is acting alongside Vikram in a big budget Tamil film. So she has requested the director for little time to adjust the dates.
Producer Ashwini Ram Prasad has already registered the title Mylari at Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. Now co-producer Shrikanth is making effort to get the same title for the movie, which will be produced by Yuvaraj and Santha fame Shrinivas. Gurukiran will score music for it.
Actress Swathi started her career as an anchor in TV channel Colours and entered films through Telugu film Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, which featured Venkatesh and Trisha in leads. Her wonderful performance in the it brought her Tamil movie Subramaniapuram and it got her rave reviews for her acting.
