Namratha Hegde is the latest addition to Sandalwood actresses' list. The model-turned actress is debuting in Kannada films through the movie Ninnalu Neene, Nannalu Neene. She is playing a comic role in the film. She has already acted in a television serial called 'Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari'. She says that now she wants to explore the big screen.
Namratha Hegde is an MBA graduate from Ohio University. She has also done her acting course from Anupam Kher"s institute. She thinks she is one among the few lucky girls, who trained under Anupam. Talking about her acting course, she says, “This course helped me a lot technically."
The television actress started her career as a model and has modelled for well-known brands such as Calvin Klein, Mango and River Island among others in Dubai. She is a designer too. She has got store houses of fabric salwars, western wear and saris in Bangalore. She exports Indian, Western and Indo-Western clothes for inter alia beauty pageants and fashion shows abroad, namely the US and Middle East.
The MBA graduate says that she found the role in Ninnalu Neene, Nannalu Neene was very challenging and this made her take it up. The actress will also soon be seen in a comic film with Anand and also another bilingual thriller, which will be made in Kannada and Tamil. The movie stars her alongside Mithun Tejaswi and Atul Kulkarni.
