The one time box-office Baadshah of Sandalwood, Darshan Tugudeep is busy shooting his upcoming film Sarathi. Darshan has acted with both Kannada and non-Kannada actresses. He says that he favours Kannada girls instead of non-Kannada actress.
Challenging star Darshan has always opted for local girls and enjoys working with them. He says that he wants to encourage native girls rather than outsiders. He feels that they understand the language better than anybody else and dubbing the voice will be added advantage.
He made his debut with Bangalore girl Rekha and then on, he has co-starred with many popular Sandalwood actresses like Ramya, Rakshita, Radhika, Sindhu Menon, Maanya. Now, Praneetha and Deepa are the new names in his list.
Darshan's Porki is expected to hit the Screen this January. It is a remake of Telugu super hit movie Pokri. He is also busy with Sangolli Rayanna and a yet to be titled film, which is a remake of Telugu movie Sauryam. His long-awaited movie Boss has completed its shooting except the shooting of a song.
