According to the producer, Aaptha Rakshaka has collected more than Rs 25 crores in 50 days. It has seen successful run of 175 days at Lakshmi Theatre in Mysore and 100 days at Narthaki theatre Bangalore. The film is still being screened in Renuka theatre Havanhatti, Pushpanjali theatre Bhatkal, Mallikarjun theatre Rona and couple of centres in Hubli.
Earlier, Krishna Prajwal had announced at 50 days success party that he would install a bronze statue of Dr. Vishnu at Abhiman Studios, where the Karnataka Government has planned to establish his memorial. Now, the 25 weeks run of the film has made him feel over excited. He says that Aaptha Rakshaka has turned out to be blockbuster movie of 2010.
However, the producer had planned to hold the celebration on September 18, which is Dr Vishnu's Birthday. But he postponed the event after knowing that Smt. Bharathi Vishnuvardhan is organizing a special programme on the day. He has invited Rajinikanth, Venkatesh, Anushka, Dr Rajkumar family members, Ambarish, BS Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Katta Subramanya Naidu, R Ashok and several prominent personalities of the industry and all of them have promised to attend the Aaptha Rakshaka success party at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium Bangalore.
