[an error occurred while processing this directive]The funeral of Sahasa Simha Vishnuvardhan, who died of heart attack at Vikram Hospital in Mysore, has been finalised after Vishnu's wife gave her consent to perform it at Abhiman Studios. Earlier, his family and relatives had planned to cremate his body at Shantinivasa Crematorium Banashankari.
This kind of confusion about funeral was raised when Dr. Rajkumar had met with the sudden demise. But then CM HD Kumaraswamy had discussed with Parvathamma Rajkumar and requested her to allow them to perform his last rites at Kanteerava Studios.
After talking to Bharathi Vishnu, Chief Minister BS Yadiyurappa has now announced that Vinshnuvardhan's funeral will be held at Abhiman studios with all state honours and a monument will be created in two acres of land in his memory.
Meanwhile, Elaborate police arrangements have been made at National College Ground, where Aptamithra's body has been kept for fans to pay tribute to the actor. But police are not able control the swarming crowd of his fans and violence created by them. Since his fans are still coming from far and wide, the time of his cremation might be extended one or two hours late.
However, Dr. Vishnuvardhan was suffering from some health hazards for the past five years and recently he had been to Mysore for rest. Yesterday, he was admitted to Vikram Hospital in Mysore when he complained of severe chest pain. He died of heart attack at 2.30 today (30th December 2009). He was honoured with six Filmfare awards. He had acted in 200 Kannada movies. The shooting of his 200th movie Aaptha Rakshaka was delayed due to his knee injury.
