K C N addresses seminar on cinema

KFPA president K.C.N. Chandrasekhar unveiled several plans intended for the development of Kannada film Industry. He was speaking at the seminar on 'Success, failure and challenges that stands before Kannada cinema in future', organized on the last day of the Amrutha Mahotsva in Bangalore.

K.C.N. urged listeners on the need to build more theatres at the district and Taluk level. He said that he would put pressure on the KFCC to reduce theatre rentals. He also revealed plans to instruct multiplexes to conduct four shows daily for Kannada films. A training camp will be organized for aspiring writers to impart knowledge on story-writing and scripting.

Regarding remake films, K.C.N. said that although it is sad that Sandalwood has to borrow plots from neighbouring states, it will help the industry remain in business by providing jobs to cinema workers. He also spoke about taking up a journey to every nook and corner of Karnataka to spread awareness regarding cinema as a medium to impart knowledge and social messages.
