Rumours were flying that bubbly Genelia may be returning to Sandalwood in Puneeth Rajkumar's next venture. Apparently, the untitled film is a remake of the Telugu movie Ready in which Genelia was the heroine. But the latest buzz is that the actress, who had earlier acted with Shivarajkumar in Sathya in Love, does not intend to make a comeback to Kannada right now. She is reportedly surprised to hear the news that she has been cast in the remake of Ready.

The Telugu version of Ready was directed by Srinu Vaitla with Ram as hero. Genelia is a busy actress down South; with the super hit performance of her first Hindi film Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na, she has become a known face in Bollywood also. Genelia received a lot of appreciation and accolades from the film fraternity for her lively portrayal of the character in Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na and even Amitabh Bachchan is said to have been impressed by her acting skills. Genelia now has a few Hindi projects in her kitty and it is heard that in the South, she is now charging more than 1 crore per film.
