Senior Kannada actress Arundhati Nag might have kept the news about sharing screen space with actor Amitabh Bachchan in Bollywood movie Paa under wraps, but the film critics could not stop expressing their rave reviews about her performance in it. Thanks to Aru madam! She has once again made Kannadigas feel proud.

Arundhati Nag has played Vidya Balan"s mother and grandmom of Auro"s (Amitabh Bachchan) in the film Paa. Her role is totally different from usually granny. For Auro, she is an unbelievably loveable grandma and he naughtily calls her Bum. She has put the confident act in her role. The scenes between the nani-pota are very real.

Especially in one sequence in which Arundhati advises Amol to reconcile with her daughter Vidya touches the heart of the audiences. She says,“Ek aurat jab akele apne bacche ko paalti hai, uska dil sakht ho jaata hai, narm sirf apne bacche ke liye."

However, the actress says that she is a fan of Balki"s work. She loved Cheeni Kum which is why she took this movie up. But she did not like to make a big howl of it. When asked about keeping it secret, she says, "I didn"t talk about it as I had other, more vital things to talk about — like the theatre fests at my auditorium.

I did not like her name BUM in the movie. I don't think any actress, from other state, would have taken that
