Hindi TV actress Yami Gautam is now debuting in Kannada film through golden star Ganesh starrer movie Ullasa Utsaha, which is a remake of Telugu movie Ullasam Uthsahamga. The actress is playing the lead lady in the movie, which is being shot in Hyderabad.
The 18-year-old actress, who aspired of becoming IAS office, had once been for audition in ND TV Talent Hunt function for curiosity. But she was selected for the lead in TV serial Rajkumar Aaryyan in ND TV Image channel. She is playing the lead in the serial, which deals with adventurous Rajastani royal family story.
Yami's father Mukesh Gautamaji, a Punjabi, is a coordinator in Zee News channel. Now she is studying at a college in Mumbai. She said, "I have heard many things about Kannada films. I am very happy to act with Ganesh, who also first acted in small screen."
