Sandalwood is currently ruled by action and violence based formulae but director Sunilkumar Desai believes that he can still find audiences to appreciate his forthcoming musical, rightly named Sarigama, featuring young actors Prajwal Devaraj, Sunil Rao and Nakshatra. Ilayaraja will score tunes for Sarigama. (Desai's earlier musical film Nammura Mandhara Hoove was a huge hit.)
There are three main characters in Sarigama and the heroine is in search of pure love. How she manages to find pure love is the crux of the film.
