Pooja Gandhi of Mungaru Male fame is now a crime reporter in Anu, a remake of super hit Telugu film Anusuya, produced by Balu. The original Telugu film had Bhoomika in the title role.
Besides playing a crime reporter, Pooja Gandhi also appears in an action sequence in this film. The film's mahurat was held at Banashankeri Medical College, Bangalore, recently.
Ravi Babu, the associate producer of the original version is independently directing the Kannada version. Rashmi of Dhuniya fame is playing the medical college student. The murder mystery is planned to be completed within 35 days. Nagkiran, the male lead, was not present at the muhurat.
Niranjan Babu, who worked for Sihi Gali and Zamana, is the man behind the camera.
