[an error occurred while processing this directive] Director Hemanth Hegde, who is directing his fourth Kannada film Houseful is full of ideas. He has been getting some master strokes in his mind even after the film is progressing its shoot. After eighteen days of shooting for the film in various places of Bangalore and the Jungle Lodge in Ramnagaram, Hegde shared some more information with the media about some of the novel features of the film.
Well known cricketer, Commentator and Television personality Navjyot Singh will be playing a brief but important role in the film and will be shooting for one day for the film, said Hemanth Hegde. And a 60 ft statue of Chaplin will be made by the film's art department to be used for the film.
"It is a full length comedy film which also has some of the sequences pertaining to film making. We thought it best to pay tribute to the greatest film maker and comedy actor Chaplin by showing a 60 ft statue of Chaplin. [an error occurred while processing this directive] By this feat we are creating a record of sorts," said Hemanth Hegde and added that the documents pertaining to the statue will be sent to Guinness Book of World Records for their perusal and acceptance.
Diganth, Vishaka Singh, Girija Oak who are playing the lead along with Hemanth Hegde were shooting for the film in the Jungle resorts in Ramnagar when the media met the members of the film unit. The film is being made by Maverick group of Mumbai.
"We are making the statue using easily available materials. I am using many art students trained in art schools and CAVA, a well known art school in the state. I can not say now how much the statue may cost. But it would be a wonderful effort because many budding artists would be involved in the project," says Chethan the art director of the film.
Girija Oak who had acted with Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par said that the experience of acting in a Kannada film has been fantastic. "We are still trying to learn Kannada, but I think I will be able to sink my lips to the dialogues in the film much better now," says Girija.
Vishaka Singh, who has already acted in two Hindi films says that experience of shooting of a Kannada film is quite different. "We are really chilling out here. There is no hectic schedule here. We get up early to be available for shoot and by seven we return to our Hotels. We have so much time to do many things. But in Mumbai it is totally different. The shooting here is well planned and everything runs with precision and punctuality," says Vishaka.
Diganth has been seen in many comedy oriented roles these days. "When Hegde said that he is making a comedy film and needed my dates, I had even thought of rejecting the film, but after hearing the amazing script of Hegde, I thought I would have made a costly mistake of rejecting a good film," said Diganth.
