Director Naganna is a successful film director on his own. After a brief period of lull the director is bouncing back to direct two back to back Kannada films each different from one another. While Naganna's Sangolli Raayanna will be a historical film featuring Arjun Sarja and glamorous actress Jayaprada in the lead, his directorial venture is a new addition to his kitty. He has now been engaged to direct producer Soorappa Babu and Kamalakar's new film Bandhu Balaga which will be launched on October 18.

Incidentally it is the same day on which the film's hero Shivaraj Kumar will be doing the housewarming ceremony of his new house built on Hebbal- Yelahanka road.

Soorappa Babu had earlier planned to make Bandhu Balaga based on a story of B.A. Madhu to be directed by Sai Prakash. Now only the tile remains and the project has now been postponed. A different story is now being considered. Telugu film director and writer Janardhan Maharshi who is now becoming highly popular in Kannada films is writing the story and script of this film.

The film has been planned with a fifty days shooting schedule which will start from November 5. After a month long schedule, there will be a break after which the shooting will again resume from January 1.

Incidentally Soorappa Babu and Naganna had struck a high degree of success in Kotigobba earlier.
