Mukyamanthri launched with fanfare

It was a glittering scene at the Bangalore Press Club, the unusual venue for the launch of a Kannada film. Hundreds of people had gathered in the club to see their favorites in action. Around forty to fifty people clad in traditional Kachche Panche and wearing colorful turbans around their heads were moving in the lawns of Press Club which also provided a different color to the whole proceedings. Yes, it was the launch of Mukyamanthri, I Love You which has been making news even before its launch as there are strong indications that the film is based on the life and activities of many real life characters.

Vijay, Ravi Belegere (Photos K.M. Veeresh)Journalist, actor, television personality Ravi Belagere became a film director today with his first film Mukyamanthri I Love you. He was also seen in a colourful turban. In this film action hero Vijay plays the role of a Chief Minister Kumara who wants to do something for the people. Actress Haripriya has been rechristened as Sunitha in this film and she plays the role of Anitha. .

Bhavana is another heroine of this film whose name is Radha in the film.. Uncle Lokanath plays the role of Thanthre Gowda, father of Kumar. And Rangayana Raghu plays the role of Devanna. Well, if you are still suspicious and guessting about the links to the real life characters, then it can safely be said that you are totally unaware of the current political scene in the state. . Ravi Belagere has written story, screenplay for this film. Ravi Belagere is also playing a role in the film. The film will be shot in Bangalore, Mandya, and Hassan and also in New Delhi. Ravi"s friends Journalist Vishweshwara Bhat, Tele serial director T.N. Seetharam and film director Ravi Srivatsa were part of the launch of this new film which has already created waves in the political and film circles. P.K.H. Doss is the cameraman of the film, while Ismali is the Art director. Incidentally, Jayant Kaikini, director Yogaraj Bhat and Vishweshwara Bhat have written lyrics for this film. Harikrishna provides the music. “Gunna" and :"Shambhu" director Dwarki provides technical suggestions to the film.

Sharing the information about the film, Ravi Belagere said that his film"s content will be largely in the expected lines. 'The film reveal the importance of woman in today"s social and political life. And many recent incidents will be part of the film"s story" said Belagere.
