As is the case obtained from other regional film industries, it looks as if Kannada film industry is also going to benefit from the corporate presence in the production. Corporate companies which were till now associating in promotion and branding of Kannada films is all set to enter the production sector and the evidences of such presence is largely visible these days.
The Sameera Piramid group is entering the Kannada film production line. The company which was dealing with the distribution and exhibition sector of the Kannada films is entering a big way with the production. The first of its production has been announced now with director Kavitha Lankesh who will be starting her film Avva' with hero Vijay in the lead. The film is set to start on August 13. Smrithi a new face is being introduced as the heroine of this film. Shruthi Mahendar and Rangayana Raghu is also playing an important role in the film. The film's story is based on a novel Mussanjeya Katha Prasanga' written by Kavitha Lankesh's father Late P. Lankesh.

The company named as Media Masters is planning to produce four Kannada films a year. Rajeev who is the C.E.O. of this corporate says that many of his friends in the Advertising have joined him in launching this company. The first schedule of Dim Dina Dina' is already over. The film is directed by H.P. Ravindra who has worked for tele serials and also in films. Hamsalekha is the music director of the film.
Dim Dina Dina' has three heroines-all from Mumbai- working for it. Siya Gautham, Amrutha Chabbria and Jasmine were all in the modeling world. Jasmine has already worked as a model in Gladrags and Kingfisher ads. Veteran actress Jayanthi is playing one of the important characters in the film.
