Kaaranjji movie is a musical film in which Vijaya Raghavendra plays the head of a music band. He is a guitar player and heroine Gauri Karnik is a dominant singer in the film. In the love story interspersed 'Karanji' the different musical tradition of Karnataka is focused with poems from Santa Shishunala Sharief, Purandara Dasa.
