Shark Night 3D, the new animal-attack thriller is directed by David R Ellis, the man behind films like Final Destination, Snakes on a Plane and The Final Destination 2.
The script by Will Hayes (Assy McGee) and newcomer Jesse Studenberg is a well written one and as the stimulating background score just adds to the thrills. The underwater scenes are extremely well shot as the sharks find their way to teething the flesh.
The suspense of how the shark rampage ended in the salty lake breaks open in the climax as there are many moments which will leave you gasping.
The 3D in Shark Night plays an extremely important role in the overall effect of the violence underwater.
The plot revolves around Sara (Sara Paxton), a girl from Bayou who moved out of the swamplands for higher studies in Tulane University and never looked back ever since for the last 3 years until she decided to take her friends there for a fun filled weekend.
The party ends when they discover that the lake is infested with man-eating sharks. Malik (Sinqua Walls) is the first prey and loses his arm in the disaster. One by one, all the seven friends are victimized and the friends go through the terrorizing trauma with the sharks gulping them down. With no help or rescue, the group try their best to survive between the different species of sharks.
On the whole, Shark Night 3D does leave you with a few shudders and screams in your head, a must watch for all the thriller lovers.
