John Travolta thanks Gabe Kaplan for launching his career

Actor John Travolta has thanked his former fictional teacher Gabe Kaplan, who launched his career through the 1970s sitcom 'Welcome Back, Kotter'. The Hollywood star says that Gabriel W got him a recognition. He would not been there in Hollywood without his support.

John Travolta recently taped a segment for 'Good Morning America". He spoke about Gabe Kaplan's help. "I've waited 35 years to thank this man. And I never got to publicly thank Gabe for his genius for putting us on the map. You know, we all wouldn't be here today without Gabe," Fox News quoted him as saying

Meanwhile, the Hollywood star credited the success of 'Welcome Back, Kotter' series to its diverse cast. Travolta added, "There's a Horshack, a Barbarino, an Epstein, a Washington, in every class... These four guys from divergent ethnic backgrounds were the best of friends."
