According to sources, Elizabeth Taylor has continued her good work by leaving a large portion of her wealth to her beloved charities. It is reported that actress' famous jewellery collection will be auctioned off to benefit The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and amfAR.
Elizabeth Taylor was the first celebrity to devoted consistent and generous humanitarian time, advocacy efforts, and funding to HIV and AIDS-related projects and charities. She organised and hosting many AIDS fundraiser in her 30 years of active participation.
Liz Taylor was co-founder of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) with Dr. Michael Gottlieb and Dr. Mathilde Krim in 1985. She also founded the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) in 1993. She tried to expand public awareness: to fight the pandemic disease; confront its discrimination; and to expand research, treatment access, education, and government funding.
