Sydney(ANI): Mel Gibson's camp has denied reports the troubled star was relocating to Australia. Previously, London's Daily Mail reported that the actor was planning to flee to Australia to escape the storm surrounding allegations he verbally and physically abused ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 40.

"There's no truth to the Mail story," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Alan Nierob, actor's representative, as telling The Today Show. It had claimed that Gibson sold his Old Mill Farm mansion in New York for 17 million dollars less than the asking price and had also put up his home in Malibu for sale.

But Nierob confirmed Gibson had been filming in New York on a project with Jodie Foster as recently as two weeks ago. Gibson and Grigorieva are involved in a legal battle over custody of their eight-month-old daughter, Lucia.

I agree with Kenneth, above. Also strange is that the recorded voices (esp. Oksana) seem to be "cut and pasted" in. Oksana especially, sounds as though she is reading words from a script. People too often hear what they want to... rather than actively listen.

I feel that the situation is absolutely deplorable that anyone would secretly record a mate's phone conversation, without their knowledge. There are 8 children involved here- and they really don't need the burden of the world thinking that their father is some kind of monster. I felt the same way when those telephone tapes were released against Alec Baldwin. Another thing I find quite strange is that we don't hear the conversation from the beginning, where one of them is saying 'hello'; it...
